To practice and support Orthodox Christianity and contribute to the greater Danbury community

Holy Trinity is a small but active parish of Orthodox Christians. Although the church is a member of the of American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Diocese of the U.S.A., led by Metropolitan Nicholas of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, its parishioners are of a widely varied ethnic and racial mix, linked by common purpose and belief.

Holy Trinity was established in Danbury, Connecticut in 1911 by Slavic immigrants from eastern Europe. The original church building burned to the ground in 1921. A new building was constructed at the present site in 1927. This building has served the parish well, but for various reasons, Holy Trinity has exciting plans to move again.

Holy Trinity has undertaken a major project to build a new church on nearly nine acres in Danbury, near the New York State border. What makes this project particularly interesting is the unique design of the church which is patterned after ancient wooden churches in Eastern Europe.
